The Establishment Strikes Again

This is my first blog ever. I just feel the need to vent a little for a moment.

I'm tired of the "establishment". When I say establishment, I'm referring to the old-school of the Republican party. The ones who say "How dare you run for office without our permission?" It's their lapdogs in the media.

The "establishment" has decided who they want to win the Republican nomination. And even though he has risen greatly in the polls, the "establishment" does not want Mike Huckabee. For them, it seems to have been a toss-up between Romney and Guiliani. And now, over the past couple of days, it seems they've settled on Romney.

Huckabee has had an astounding run so far. Despite the media telling all of us that he does not have a chance of winning, Huckabee is now in a virtual tie with Guiliani nationally. First it was said that he would never get 10% in the polls(that was o'Reilly). When that happened, they said that he would never become a top-tier. Then he was consistently in top three. Oh there's no way he could get the nomination, or there's no way he could beat the Democrats, they said. Please, please keep making predictions on Huckabee. You've done such a great job so far.

They keep trying to "catch" Huckabee with these ridiculous stories; yet, these stories never seem to gain any traction with the American people. Let's examine a few:

1. The famous taxes speech to the Arkansas congress. Obviously, taken completely out of context. If you don't know anything about Arkansas politics, then you don't get it.
2. Pardons and commutations. Zeroing in on the one fellow who was released, then raped and murdered another person. I've only heard one person willing to tell more of the story (Dick Morris), but even he didn't tell it all. Not only was there an unfortunate castration incident (complete with public display of the parts), but at the time there was a scandal with a connection to a certain now nationally known politician.
3. The subliminal cross. What?! Are you kidding me? Why would he need to insert a subliminal floating cross into a Christmas greeting in which he says that Christ is the reason for celebrating Christmas. All of these media morons who got all in an uproar over (and I'm laughing as I write this):

A BOOKSHELF!!!!!!!!

This is what I would like the media and the almighty RNC (who delight in looking down their noses at Christians, until they need their votes) to know: We, the people, are pretty good at figuring out who is real and who is not. Mike Huckabee does not need your permission or blessing to run for President. If people don't like him, they won't vote for him. But there are plenty of people who like what he has to say, and all of your character assassination should be saved for the Democrats.
